What is kinesiology taping?

Kinesiology tape is an elastic adhesive tape applied to the skin. Dr. Grant offers RockTape as a supporting service at Ascent Chiropractic. Taping is considered alongside your evaluation and the other parts of your care.

Discuss your activity and goals

Tell us whether you are preparing for exercise, returning to an activity, or looking for help managing a particular movement. Ask what the purpose of the tape is in your case and how you should assess your response.

Application and skin care

Tell the clinic about previous reactions to adhesives or sensitive skin before application. Ask how to care for the tape, when to remove it, and what to do if irritation develops. Follow the product-specific instructions provided with your application.

Taping alongside rehabilitation

Tape does not replace an assessment of an injury or a plan for returning to activity. Ask about exercises, training changes, and follow-up as appropriate. We can also discuss whether you need help learning an application for use at home.

Questions before you book

Can I buy tape without booking a treatment?

RockTape is listed in the clinic shop. For help choosing an application or understanding a new symptom, contact the clinic.

Should I leave tape on if my skin reacts?

Remove it if irritation develops and contact the clinic for guidance. Mention adhesive sensitivity before having tape applied.
