Keep your overall migraine care in view
Migraines can interfere with work, family time, and the activities you enjoy. At Ascent, discuss your history and any neck or movement concerns with Dr. Grant alongside the care you receive from your medical team.
Bring information about your diagnosis, current medications, and previous treatment. Chiropractic care should not replace medical management of migraine.

What does the research say?
NCCIH describes research on spinal manipulation for migraine as preliminary. That is a reason to discuss uncertainty, potential benefits, and risks rather than expect a particular result.
Make the visit useful to you
Describe how often headaches occur, what they feel like, and any accompanying neck discomfort. Ask Dr. Grant whether a musculoskeletal evaluation is appropriate and how any recommended care would fit with your existing plan.
Talk with our Brookfield team
Call 262-345-4166 or request an appointment to discuss your concerns. Our office is at 16620 W Bluemound Rd, Suite 405. Ask about appointment availability, current fees, and what to bring.
Bring a headache history
Record when headaches occur, how long they last, associated symptoms, and medications you use. Share any previous diagnosis and care from your medical clinician. Migraine and other headache types need an appropriate assessment.
Keep migraine care coordinated
Discuss neck discomfort and activity limits alongside your existing headache plan. Chiropractic care should not be presented as a guaranteed migraine cure or a replacement for needed medical management.
Headache symptoms that need urgent assessment
A sudden, extremely painful headache, or headache with new weakness, confusion, vision loss, or fever and a stiff neck, needs urgent medical attention.
